Display cases on the gallery’s right side contain finds from the settlement that developed on the Acropolis slopes from the 3rd millennium BC through the 6th century AD. Most of these artefacts were discovered during the large excavation conducted in the 1950s on the South Slope of the Acropolis, in front of the Odeion of Herodes Atticus.

The first display case contains ceramic vessels from the households of the early settlers who established the area’s first residential units, as well as finds from later burial grounds of the 10th-8th centuries BC. Subsequent cases feature additional domestic objects illuminating human occupation of the Acropolis slopes between the 7th century BC to the end of antiquity. The exhibits are subdivided into thematic sections that display various aspects of the ancient Athenians’ daily life.
